Billings Depot, Billings, $10,000
To help this renovated building, which is the anchor of the Billings historic district, meet city building and fire codes while protecting its historical style.

Bozeman Symphony, $3,000
To help pay for expanding the community outreach program to enable another 330 students and their families to participate.

 Burns Telecom Center, Montana State University, Bozeman, $10,000
Expansion of an integrated science education program into the Billings School District for fourth through ninth grade students.

Children's Museum of Montana, Great Falls, $10,000
To help create a hands-on exhibit exploring the hydroelectric industry in Great Falls by providing information about the Missouri River, how dams work and how each affects the community.

Colstrip Parent Teacher Organization, $5,000
To help secure a permanent part-time coordinator, as well as cover insurance costs and supplies, for an after-school and summer tutoring program for children aged five to 14.

Community Services Fellowship, Sanders County, Noxon, $2,500
Renovations to a used clothing store to bring it up to requirements for handicap accessibility. Volunteers, many of whom are local disabled individuals, operate the store.

Eagle Mount Day Camp, Billings, $6,000
Nine additional children each day for nine weeks during the summer will be able to attend this special day camp for disabled children.

Education Foundation, Billings, $5,792
Purchase of science equipment and supplies for the outdoor laboratory situated on the Yellowstone River that supports environmental studies by area science classes.

Golden Triangle Community Mental Health Center, Great Falls, $6,000
Contribution to a community-wide capital campaign to renovate an old school building into a new facility for a mental health center serving 3,000 people in a 12-county area.

Got Socks Cooperative Clothing Store, Colstrip, $5,000
To purchase two outside lighted signs for the only clothing store in Colstrip, a cooperative effort by community members, which opened in June 2005 in a renovated school building.

Great Falls Public Library Foundation, Great Falls, $10,000
To help the Bookmobile resume service to part of Cascade County, enabling many rural residents to have access to library materials.

Great Falls Symphony, Great Falls, $3,000
To help pay for two symphonic performances for school children.

Kennedy Parent Teacher Organization, Butte, $2,460
Installation of classroom amplification systems in kindergarten through third grade to help improve the learning environment for children in this age group, who are susceptible to temporary hearing loss due to colds, allergies and ear infections.

LVA Butte Literacy, Butte, $10,000
To help provide free and confidential tutoring services for adults in Butte-Silver Bow County who have low literacy skills.

Meadowlark Parent Teacher Association, Billings, $10,000
Establishment of a mobile wireless computer lab at Meadowlark School.

Miles Community College, Miles City, $10,000
To create and implement an online certification program that would allow experienced nurses to become nurse educators.

Montana Audubon, Great Falls, $5,000
To expand the Audubon's Naturalist Program into the Great Falls schools.

Montana Conservation Corp, Bozeman, $10,000
Twelve groups of six students will complete various environmental projects during a five-week summer employment program that takes place in five Montana communities — Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Missoula, and Kalispell.

Montana 4-H, $7,000
To support a three-day, statewide youth program that provides training and skills development for two 4-H leaders aged 14 through 18 from each county.

Montana Raptor Conservation Center, Bozeman, $1,024
Development of educational pieces and a biannual news letter about raptors and the unique summer gathering of large raptors that takes place in the Bridger Mountains. Funds also will be used to purchase children’s books on raptors, which will be given to local grade school classrooms.

Prayer Lodge, Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Busby, $3,220
Restoration of a number of construction sites across the reservation using xeriscaping — a type of landscaping that conserves water — to provide erosion control and beautify multiple areas.

River and Plains Society, Fort Benton, $10,000
To extend the historic River’s Edge Trail to connect the Chouteau County Fairgrounds Canoe Launch and Campgrounds with downtown Fort Benton, which will enable visitors to access businesses, the planned Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument Interpretive Center, museums and other historic sites.

Roundup High School, Roundup, $6,499
Purchase of computers and other audio/visual equipment to support the research and production of a documentary by the school’s history class, in conjunction with the Montana Historical Society, detailing the history of Roundup and Musselshell County.

Schoolhouse History and Art Center, Colstrip, $5,000
Expansion of programs to include a ceramic room and classes for all residents in Colstrip and the surrounding areas.

Shakespeare in the Parks, Bozeman, $10,000
Purchase of a costume and props trailer for this troupe, which is based at Montana State University-Bozeman and travels the state doing outdoor summer productions.

Shepherd Elementary School, Shepherd, $10,000
Purchase of books for a new children’s library focusing on remedial reading for kindergarten through third grade students.

The Quality of Life Corp., Colstrip, $3,326
Purchase of four computers for an after-school program conducted by the Colstrip Park and Recreation District.

Treasure County Senior Citizens Club, Hysham, $2,179
Purchase of new furniture for the center in this small rural eastern Montana town.

Trout Unlimited, Helena, $3,848
To purchase four aquarium systems that will allow the "Trout in the Classroom" program to expand into four additional schools in the Helena area.

Yellowstone Art Museum, Billings, $6,000
Creation of art “suitcases” that will enable the museum to take art out to the schools.

Youth, Inc./Stevens Center, White Sulphur Springs, $8,000
To enable the center to hire a part-time director for the after-school activities and to continue an arts learning project that brings in visiting artists.
