PPL Montana generates power in the West and plays a vital role in Montana's economy. 

Our power plants are a safe and reliable source of electricity for the state. Much of this electricity is provided through long-term contracts with our customers. With the volatile nature of power prices today, we provide hundreds of megawatts of power to our customers at fixed rates — rates that give many Montanans a stable price for years to come.

This price stability allows energy customers to focus on their business rather than worrying about the price of power. The end result is a healthier Montana economy for everyone.

While our company does not sell or distribute electricity to retail customers, we know that people throughout the country are facing rising energy prices. As a corporate citizen in Montana, we donated $50,000 to low-income electricity users and, along with the other Colstrip power plant owners, contributed $100,000 in Universal System Benefits funds to Energy Share to help Montanans with expected high heating bills this winter.
