Responding to Needs
Besides being involved in education initiatives round the state through our established programs, we have partnered with schools and foundations on a number of projects that support a learning environment:
- Power plant control room simulator for Montana State University-Billings for the College of Technology’s process plant technology program.
- Colstrip High School’s Business Professionals of America Club academic competitions.
- Environmental education equipment for fourth-grade students in the Great Falls School District.
- Personal computers for schools in the Butte area.
- Transformation of a gravel pit into a conservation education center for the Billings public schools.
- Make-A-Splash festivals to promote awareness and appreciation of water resources.
- A backyard habitat for Broadwater School students.
- A phonics and reading program for Kindergarten students at Thompson Falls Elementary School.
- Aviation and Technology Week in Laurel.
- Project FeederWatch in certain Great Falls schools.
- Head Start program in Butte.
