PPL Montana employees will host an open house at the Colstrip power plant on Friday, July 16, with tours starting at 9 a.m.

“We look forward to welcoming our neighbors and providing an opportunity for them to meet the people who operate the power plant and learn how we generate electricity reliably and responsibly every day to power our homes and businesses,” said Neil Dennehy, plant manager.

Tours for visitors 12 and older will leave every 15 minutes starting at 9 a.m. and last about 90 minutes. Sturdy walking shoes — no sandals or open-toed shoes — are required. Check in at the plant entrance at Willow Avenue and Warehouse Road. Transportation will be provided into the plant. Light refreshments will be served.
