Nonprofit organizations have until Jan. 31 to apply for a grant from the PPL Montana Community Fund.
“I encourage nonprofit groups that help improve the quality of life in our state to submit a request for projects,” said Lisa Perry, PPL Montana’s manager of Community Affairs. “The next round of grants will be awarded in the spring.”
Since 2005, PPL Montana’s Community Fund has strengthened the company’s partnership with communities from Helena to Colstrip, Great Falls to Billings, Butte to Miles City, and White Sulphur Springs to Bozeman.
Under the direction of a statewide advisory board, PPL Montana has awarded a total of $800,000 since 2005 to 115 organizations that are addressing issues related to education, the environment and economic development.
“It’s been our expression of thanks for doing business in this great state,” Perry said.
Twice a year members of the PPL Montana Community Fund Advisory Board, a group dedicated to making a difference in the lives of Montana families and their communities, award grants to nonprofit organizations to address quality-of-life issues and make our state stronger.
